Website Design and Development
If you need a website for your business or want to redesign or upgrade your current one, we can help. Here are the website design and development services we offer:
Local Business Website
If you run a local business—like a dental office or a flower shop—we can design and develop a professional website tailored to your needs. This typically includes:
- Design and development of the homepage
- Service pages (each service should have its own dedicated page)
- Location pages (for service area businesses or those with multiple locations)
- Contact page, About Us page, and other supporting pages
- Blog post template and blog archive design
We build local business websites using WordPress with Bricks Page Builder, which we’ve found to be the most SEO-friendly option. If you require third-party integrations (e.g., booking software, online ordering systems, or other tools), we can help implement those as well.
Ecommerce Website
If you’re launching an online store, we can develop a custom ecommerce website for your business. This includes:
- Design and development of the homepage
- Product pages (with title, description, images, buttons, FAQs)
- Structured data optimization (schema markup for rich search results)
- Product collection/category pages
- Blog post template and blog archive design
- Contact page, About Us page, and other supporting pages
- Checkout page and integration with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe)
We build ecommerce websites in WordPress (using WooCommerce and Bricks) or Shopify—depending on your preferences.

---|---|---|
Customization | Unlimited | Moderate |
Ease of Use | Moderate (steep learning curve) | Beginner-friendly |
SEO Control | Full control | Decent but limited |
Hosting | Self-managed | Fully managed |
Cost Predictability | Variable (plugins, hosting, etc.) | Fixed monthly fees |
Scalability | Excellent with right setup | Very scalable out of the box |
Design Themes | Flexible with more dev freedom | Many clean, pro templates |
Online Publishing Website
For personal blogs (like travel or food blogs), niche content sites, or news websites, we offer:
- Design and development of the homepage
- Blog post design, including Table of Contents, comparison charts (for reviews), and other custom features
- Blog archive design (post categories)
- Blog author page design
Custom Website Development
Need something unique—like a site for your app, SaaS product, or nonprofit? We can build it. A custom-designed site instantly grabs attention and positions your brand as more professional and trustworthy.
For example, if you’re running a restaurant and want to go beyond just great design—adding features like reservations, reviews, or online ordering—a custom site is the right choice.
While custom solutions may cost more than using a template, they are a smart long-term investment. Custom websites are more adaptable to your business goals and can scale as you grow.
Need a custom WordPress plugin? We can build that too. We start by learning what features you need and then create a simple plugin tailored to your site.
The Process – How We Work
For every website design and development project, I collaborate with Reuf Jahic—an experienced front-end developer with expertise in Bricks, Elementor, and Gutenberg. We’ve worked together for over five years on a wide range of web development projects across various industries and international markets.
Step 1: Discovery
We begin by learning about your business—your services or products, goals, and target audience. This step is crucial for creating a site that aligns with your business objectives. Typically, we schedule a kick-off call to discuss everything in detail and ask lots of questions. If you prefer not to do a call, we’ll send you a detailed questionnaire instead.
We’ll also ask for supporting materials—such as product images and descriptions for ecommerce—and examples of websites you like. We may also share relevant past work or design ideas that suit your goals.
Step 2: Structure & Design
Next, we define the site structure using tools like Balsamiq and create initial designs in Figma. This includes visualizing layouts for key pages—home, services, products, etc. Once approved, we move on to development.
Step 3: Development
During development, we provide regular updates (weekly or bi-weekly). If there are any delays or adjustments to agreed designs, we’ll notify you and confirm changes before final delivery.
Step 4: QA and Launch
The final stage includes quality assurance and technical checks. We ensure your site is mobile-friendly, SSL-secure, error-free (no 404s or broken links), and properly indexed for search engines.
Content Development
Great design needs great content. For content development, we use a mix of AI and human expertise.
Over the years, we’ve worked with writers and editors, but AI—when used properly—can outperform in both quality and turnaround. The key is using the right prompts.
We don’t simply ask an AI to “write content for a local plumber in Toronto.” Instead, we:
- Learn about your business—your services, story, values, and competitive advantages
- Use detailed prompts that incorporate your unique traits, customer reviews, history, and differentiators
- Include personal touches and distinctions that set you apart
- Conduct keyword research to ensure your content aligns with real search behavior
We also analyze competitors—not to copy them, but to find ways to improve on what they’re doing.
The final copy we create is:
- Clear and concise
- Structured to address user problems quickly (preferably above the fold)
- Supported by rich media (images, infographics, videos)
- Often includes an FAQ section for SEO and clarity
SEO Optimization
SEO is built into everything we do—from planning to launch.
Keyword Research
Conducted at the beginning of the project to:
- Understand your audience’s search behavior
- Identify high-value keywords for your services or products
- Map keywords to pages and guide your content strategy
On-Page SEO
We optimize:
- Meta titles and descriptions
- Headings and FAQ content
- Schema markup for enhanced visibility
- Image metadata (alt text, filenames)
- Customer reviews integration
Conversion Optimization
We design landing pages that are clear, easy to navigate, and conversion-focused—whether it’s booking a consultation, buying a product, or signing up for a service.
Technologies We Use
We develop sites primarily using WordPress—an open-source, flexible, and SEO-friendly platform that powers over 40% of the web. Here’s a simplified WordPress vs other platforms comparison table focused on website design and development:
Feature | WordPress | Other Platforms (Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace) |
---|---|---|
Ownership & Flexibility | Fully self-hosted, complete control | Hosted solutions with limited control over hosting and backend |
Design Customization | Extremely flexible with themes and builders | Limited to platform-specific templates and tools |
Ease of Use | Moderate – some learning curve | Generally easier for beginners (drag-and-drop interfaces) |
E-commerce | WooCommerce (highly customizable) | Built-in or native (Shopify excels), but less customizable |
SEO Capabilities | Excellent with plugins (Yoast, Rank Math, etc.) | Varies – decent but less customizable than WordPress |
Cost Structure | Flexible (you pay for hosting, themes, plugins) | Fixed monthly plans (may include transaction fees) |
Plugins & Integrations | Vast library of free and paid plugins | Limited to built-in features or curated app marketplaces |
Scalability | Scales well for blogs, business sites, enterprise | Some platforms are limited in scalability (Wix, Squarespace) |
Custom Code Access | Full access (HTML, CSS, PHP, JS) | Limited or restricted access depending on the platform |
Community & Support | Massive open-source community, forums | Official support with smaller communities (some offer live chat/email) |
For visual design and performance, we use Bricks Page Builder, known for generating fast, clean code and offering full design control.
Key Tools and Plugins We Use:
- Rank Math Pro – Advanced SEO and schema markup
- WP Rocket – Caching for faster load speeds
- Wordfence – Website security and firewall
- ShortPixel – Image optimization
- ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) – Custom field creation
- WP Activity Log – User activity monitoring
- Ninja Forms or Fluent Forms – Form builder
- UpdraftPlus – Backup and restore
